The first venue of its kind, Fortress is a multi-level gaming and entertainment complex spanning over 2,500 square meteres of the Melbourne CBD.

Together with gaming, entertainment and lifestyle partners, Fortress delivers online and in-person programs that connect thousands of Australians through games. These include; open experiential activations, community focused social events, professional esports tournaments and broadcast productions.

Background

Along with their existing partnership with Alienware, Fortress was  looking to expand their partnership roster to additional brands including Telstra, Intel and more. In conjuntion with this, Fortress was also in the process of launching a new venue in Sydney Australia. 

Fortress approached More Than Boxes with the intent to work together in creating a merchandise package to aid in showcasing the new venue to potential partners, and create excitement around the brand.

This package was ‘hot-swappable’ between potential partners
and is designed to impress and excite.

Overview

The final outcome consisted of;
- A large, multi drawer presentation box with UV embossed graphics 
- Interlocking cardboard 3D representation of the Fortress space
- LED lighting that would activate with removal of the package's lid
- 3D printed representations of furniture, and acrylic signage to accentuate area purpose
- Elevated EVA foam plinth and inserts for housing an Oculus VR system, as well as branding materials
- Internal structural supports to ensure safe freight
